Hi all,

can any one tell me what are the types of indexes are available and what is the type of the indexing we use in data warehousing?

Available index types vary by database. Some do not have indexes at all (Netezza & the various column oriented RDBMs'), b-tree is universal among those that do. Some support bitmap indexes and there are various other indexes that are product specific.

As far as what type to use, consult your DB vendor's recommendations.
