We have a fact table with a measure of Paid Dollars, containing dimension keys for Employee, Organization, Date, and so on. We want all users to be able to see paid dollars, but only certain users should be able to slice the Paid Dollars by Employee as this exposes salary information. Is there a way to expose the single measure group and not expose the Employee Dimension to a specific role in the cube?

My only other thought is to create a second identical measure group that doesn't contain the employee key, but this would require duplicating every calculated measure and renaming all the measures in that group. I feel there has to be a way to leverage the existing measure group while limiting who can slice by Employee.

Any and all thoughts are very appreciated.

Thanks, Bryan
