Using Events
Hi all,
I have an event created which is defined by a file which is sitting on our server, the file's name changes from 'ETL_Complete' to 'ETL_Loading' once our nightly ETL load starts to run and then changes back to 'ETL_Complete' after the job has successfully completed. We implemented this to avoid sending out scheduled reports with blank fields in case the Load failed the night before.
The file is always available on its file path and only changes for that time period. The issue I am having is if i schedule a report to run Now and add the Event within that schedule, this report sits in a pending state until the ETL job re-runs and the file changes again. What would be ideal is if the report would just run now because the file is already available. I thought that's how it should already work, but i guess not
Any ideas?
