Connections between Fact Tables
I'm currently devoloping a data warehouse for a small insurance company. While discussing the datawarehouse design, business users indicated various relationships between fact tables (for example: Claims and Benefits facts are stored in different fact tables (and have different corresponding dimensions) but a benefit is always linked to 1 claim (while 1 claim may have several benefits)). Is it wrong to link the claims Fact table directly to the benefit table? Should I try to identify common dimensions and link the fact tables like that?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.

Brief and to the point. I guess I'll get to work and change those relationships. Thanks for the quick reply.
