Measure Creation from Dimension
Hi All,
I am new to SSAS, I want to create a measure based on the particular dimension. Is there a way to do that?
For example Employee Dimension, I want to count the number of employees in total?
Also if we want the total employees on date wise etc...?
Thanks

Re: Measure Creation from Dimension
A measure is a Fact and belongs in the Fact Table.
Fact tables are intended to be used to store factual information. Dimensions are intended to store descriptive data. You can force the dimension table to store the measure and it might work, but you run the risk of causing major problems down the road.
