I need to perform Source system analysis for existing DWH. I was wondering what are things that are done in Source system analysis. Kindly help as its crucial

Source system analysis is analysing the processes and data in the systems that support the business. It should lead to the identification of data sources, their content, and availibility for extract into a DW.

I agree, it is crucial. It is a common question when I interview data analysts. To understand what you are trying to accomplish simply go to a vendor's website that sells a data profiling tool. I copied this from ERwin Data Profiler;
