How to group dimensions
I have searched a lot but couldn't find how to show a set of relevant dimesions as one group/folder.
Basically what we have got is about 50/60 dimensions, which makes it very hard for end users to find a particular dimension. What i looking for is some way to show these dimensions as a group (i.e. folder like structure). Is it possible?
End users use Excel to view the cube. we are using SSAS 2008 to build the cube.
Any help or idea would be highly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mohsin

Re: How to group dimensions
Hi Moshin,
The best solution I've come up with is adding a prefix to the Cube Dimension Name, e.g "Customers" becomes "Sales - Customers". As Excel automatically sorts the Dimensions, the prefix has a grouping effect.
Good luck!

Re: How to group dimensions
Thanks Mike, what I understand from this is that there is no "REAL" dimension grouping option available to us in SSAS.
