You can use a multicultural Calendar dimension:
# Key ( Surrogate )
Date
Month Id
Month Name
Week Nu
Day of week etc
and
Location Id
Weekday Indicator
Holiday Indicator,
Special Event etc
The granularity of this dimension is not calendar date, but calendar date per location.

Re: Time Dim Snowflaking
I am sorry, I attached a wrong picture above.
What I meant was my tim dim for different countries are going to be vastly different due to calencar, holiday's,seasons etc they might have 5-10 attributes matching rest will be different.
If I put all these in one time dim then most of the columns will have null values for those attributes not applicable to one country.
I was thinking about creating separate time dim for each country and may have a time dim with common attributes .. but not sure on how to provide unified picture to users so that they think it only one time dimesnion working in behind.

Re: Time Dim Snowflaking
In a dimension table you should assign a value ( e.g. n/a) instead leaving the column as null

Re: Time Dim Snowflaking
that is what I would like to know, I don't want to store NULL and at the sametime I want to give users a unifited view
