SQL Server 2005: ETL from Sybase, OLAP from sybase
Hello,
Does anyone know (or has done before) if it's possible to:
1. ETL directly into SQL Server datawarehouse from sybase?
2. Create an OLAP cube on SSAS directly from sybase ?
Thank you.

Sybase Adaptive Server and SQL Server are branches of the same code base. They are very similar in a number of ways. Data movement between them should not be a problem.

Thank you for your reply.
I wanted to have an expert's opinion to save myself from possibly diving into something that has been proven not to work.
In this case I will try it & get back to this forum with a useful reply.
