Fact table for stock market transactions

Hi all,
I'm working on an enterprise data warehouse. Inside my EDW I have two almost common tables, order and order entry.
For the datamart, representing (in two words) the business process of customer analysis of market orders, I thought to create a transactions fact table holding for each line a single order entry, with columns like:
- date
- order nr
- order type (Sell/buy)
- quantity
- amount
- product

Dimensions should be: date, product, customer, order (?)
My questions are two:
- do you think that approach is overall correct?
- Considering to have some financial indicator calculated inside the DWH, how you put for example the AUM (asset under management) indicator in format YTD, YTQ, YTM (Year to day, quarter or month)?
