Using Tableau for small DW (less than 1 TB)
I am not sure if this is the right forum to post this question to but I thought I would try here. We are building a small Data Warehouse with about 8 factless fact tables and 20 dimensions. This is based on a Kimball Architecture. We are considering using Tableau for a presentation software.
1. Would anyone out there that is using Tableau please tell me what their experience has been with this software?
2. How well does Tableau work with Kimball Architecture (for instance I was told that Tableau does NOT use a Date dimension)?
3. How well does Tableau Reader work as a presentation layer to a Warehouse accessed by the general Public?
Thanks for your input, I really appreciate it!
Greg
PS: I am going to cross post this to another forum, sorry if this causes any problems for people.
