Multi valued dimension attributes, weighting factor and cognos

Hi,

we have several attributes in our product and customer dimension which might by multi valued.

We modelled these as multi valued dimension attributes using bridge tables and weighting factors therein.

Can anybody reference a best practice document to model this in Cognos (or any other BI tool - I hope I can transform it)?

The task is to have Cognos automatically apply the weighting factor on the facts as soon as the respective multi valued dimension attribute is taken into the query or filtered on.

This is a tough one, I guess, and I have found nothing on this, yet.
