raw data size versus bufferpool/cache size
Hi All,
I just wondering if there is a rule of thumb or a formula that tells me when it comes to sizing the memory structures like Bufferpools/Buffer cache what would be the best/ideal/recommended size. I have a 2 TB datawarehouse and I believe we are not allocating enough resources (memory) but I need to be able to support my theory with something more concrete. This is running on AIX platform. Now users are noticing a slowdown in the response time and I believe this is as a consecuence of the memory structures not being sized accordingly. Please any comments will be highly appreciated. Thanks !!!!.
