Property Managment
Hi All,
I am designing a warehouse for a property management system. We have properties and Occupants, each property can have multiple suites.
A suite can be vacant, Occupied or expired. How should I design my fact and dimension, if a user wants to query How many active leases we have as of Jan 1, 2012?
Lets say I have a fact with two dimension.
Property
ID PropertyName
1 P1
Occupant
ID OccpName OccpStart OccpEnd OccpStatus
1 O1 1/1/2011 5/1/2012 Expired
2 O2 NULL NULL Vacant
3 O3 1/2/2012 1/2/2015 Occupied
Now How should I know as of Jan 1, 2012 how may active occupants are there?
Thanks
