Updating Measures In Fact Table

Here's a basic question: Can a fact table have multiple measures that are known at different times? For example, would you create a fact table where each record is an invoice, and insert the record with the expected date, then later supply (update) the receipted date?

I would probably have an invoice dimension with the various dates and update the dimension table.

That's exactly how accumulating snapshot facts work.
