Start of Dimensional Modelling
HI,
I need to start with Logical model of Dimensional Model. I have some existing reports. Using that I have identified some of the Dimensions and Measures.
Can any one please guide me through detail steps to move ahead.
Thanks,
Anush

RE:Start of Dimensional Modelling
HI,
Dimensional modeling uses the concepts of dimensions (context) and facts (measures).
Facts are typically numeric values that can be aggregated and dimensions are descriptors that define the facts.
You will have to see/understand what type of process is being captured in the reports. Then see if the dimension modelling will help you. Once you conclude that dim modelling is going to helo then identify the grains, the facts and the dimentsion.
thanks
